Enjoy some downtime at our little cabin-for-two in south east lutruwita/Tasmania. Leave your worries behind and bask in the vision and sounds of nature ...[yoga pose!].
Just over half an hour from Hobart Airport, you can find total seclusion. Soak up the serenity of the bush in an outdoor tub, look out to sea, snuggle by the fire, or open up the bedroom doors and gaze up at the stars at night. Then rise early with the sun or pull the blinds down and snooze while listening to the birds wake up.
With so many places to explore in the area, you can take off down the road to fetch locally produced veggies, honey, wine, gin, oysters and cheeses or hang out down at vast and beautiful, Marion Bay Beach. Adventure north through majestic Wielangta forest to go hiking or continue on to explore Orford and the east coast. In the opposite direction, head south to experience and forage the delights of Dunalley and tukana/the Tasman Peninsula.

By booking with us, you are supporting a Tassie born-and-bred family. Our cabin is located at the bottom of our property and we love sourcing local goods for you to enjoy wherever we can. Whether it's food & drink, furniture, books, art, or ceramics, you'll feel cuddled by all the local delights we've found for you.
About us
Clearys Corner - a modern Tassie shack - has been lovingly created and curated by us. We are two lucky Tasmanians; Claudia (from the north-west) and Danny (a local southerner) who got the chance to make this special property ours back in 2017 to live and grow our family on. We built a little haven out of shipping containers at the bottom of our property, taking full advantage of the best sea views on the block. We knew one day we would be keen to share this little gem with the rest of the world. Living in this snug place with our first-born, we woke up to a daily dream of beautiful views, bird songs, all types of weather, and colourful skies before outgrowing it (hello second child) and moving a few hundred metres up the hill to our current home. After several, long and frustrating years of getting things passed for accommodation purposes, we are finally opening our doors in 2025. We are so happy to be able to share it with the world at last! Clearys Corner hides at the bottom of our property, made private by ever-growing trees between our two dwellings, ready and waiting for its next guests. We knew this place would be too good not to share, so we hope you will experience and enjoy this corner of the world as much as we do. Claudia & Danny

The Lanterns coffee, food, and provisions shop in Dunalley now have a variety of hampers featuring quality Tasmanian produce available to choose from, order online and be delivered straight to the cabin before you arrive. Or if you're coming from Dunalley you can pick it up on your way. Just pop in our address for delivery (you'll receive it once you book your stay) and let them know what date you're checking in on, in the personalised message box. They also have an online shop for individual items that you can add to your hamper to make it even more customised.
